Rosa Parks-Ruby Bridges-Martin Luther King,Jr.

This week was spent learning about Rosa, Ruby and Martin.  We learned who they are and how their beliefs and efforts and persistence made a difference.  We talked a lot about equality, and equal rights and how even today in our own classroom it is important to respect each other's right to learn.  How being tolerant of our friends ideas is respecting our uniqueness.  We continue to practice using kind words and actions to show we are being careful with each other's feelings.  We practice asking questions and understanding answers to improve our communication skills.  Look at our culminating project...
